A name

How often does a name elude you? You look at a plant or something, and you say it looks so familiar. It happens too often to me and sometimes it will be hours or even days later when the name pops out.  Ok, sometimes never LOL.
Well, this plant was mine today. But I was just happy that I could enjoy it beautiful colors.

Close up. Several hours later, I think I got it…a Square-bud Primrose (Calylophus berlandieri). I usually am better at ID’ing if the flower is in bloom. That’s my excuse today.

I walk pass this everyday and today it looks like a critter to me. LOL
This is another example of walking pass something everyday and not seeing it. I see a water buffalo.

Flat top puffball. I don’t know its name, but that’s ok.

I still can enjoy it.

This is a polypore shelf fungus.

I know that it is in the polypore family because on the underside it has the many pores where the spores will fall out. Most polypores have these pores, but there are a few species of polypores that have gills. Nature just can’t follow the rules. Ha Ha!  Makes it fun, eh!

Keep looking!
