Gravity is a law. And like all forces they act upon us. Gravity is no exception. Though on this outing I had planned to stay on top. Well, it did not happen. Gravity pulled me down into a ravine. LOL

The ravine smiled.

Lichens and mosses can often be found in one another’s company.

Mosses also help some plants get a toe-hold in the soil.

It was easy going in this ravine.

Some day perhaps I will find out who is responsible for the holes/tubes.

The patterns in the soil bank are cool.

Fallen trees in the ravines are great places to see the shelf fungus!

Even though gravity pulled me down in the ravine, I did manage to look at the slopes leading to the ravines as I had planned. Tomorrow’s post will conclude with those finds.
