This is Usnea strigosa, another Fruticose lichen (the shrub-like lichens).

Bess Beetle (Odontotaenius disjunctus) likes rotten wood. This one had brown mites around the horn. A very nice beetle to find and a new one for me!

Just a cool beetle! When Claire picked it up, it made raspy kissy noises.
