Goodbye and Hello

It’s a new year! All fresh with new hopes that we all can do better for our planet.

A sunrise says goodbye to the remnant of the last night darkness. That is the earth’s shadow where it is slightly darker at the horizon.
Look at the above photo and compare here. You can see the shadow is getting smaller.
And what about that pink band of color you ask? Of course it has a name too, The Belt of Venus! And it’s named for the Goddess of Love’s pink girdle.
And next we say hello to the new day! And to a new year!
Then at sunset, say hello to the shadow again as night comes! The same bluish band (the shadow) and the pink band of The Belt of Venus.

May it be a great year!
