Goodness another year has almost passed on. Here are a few pics from over past several days which includes foggy mornings and sunny days.
What a Pocket Gopher had an egg? Sure looked like it. LOL.
Ripping it apart further it looked to be a fungus. Perhaps one of the orange stinkhorns. So it must of just been unlucky to be in the Pocket Gopher’s home.
A yummy mushroom! Well some friends thought so. LOL.
A pile of tiny bones left behind from a bird pellet after the recent rains.
More than just the stinkhorns have been popping up!
A millipede!
Sunrise!
The tree’s fingers stretched towards the rising sun!
Do you recognize this bud? It was early before the sun was shining on it.
Then when the sun shines, the Spring Beauty (Claytonia virginica ) spreads its petals! And yes they have started sprouting! So why does this plant gets its common name. Perhaps wishful thinking of folks?
Happy New Year’s Eve!
Cheers to a new year! Hope we can explore, learn, and leave the earth in a better place.

Wonderful pics of the foggy sunrise. Thanks for a year of great finds and education. Looking forward to 2025
Thank you and was a great year of treasures. I learned a lot too😀.
Wow, that photo of the foggy sunrise behind the big post oak tree is gorgeous!
Sun and fog are really special- makes things seem to go quiet and peaceful. And Monday sure felt like spring was here for sure – next week looks to be a bit different!
Beautiful!!
That sunrise photo is divine! And claytonia! Wow! Already!
Thank you. And for the last several years a few of the Claytonia pop. But the bigger batch does come later. At least at my house.
