Great Day!

Jeanne and I headed out to the creeks today. Yes of course I took a ton of photos. Thus I have a lot of photo naming. LOL Today a few photos from the early morning walk. Tomorrow I will start posting the treasures we found today on the outing.

I let this Ground-cherry (Physalis) grow in my tomato garden. It certainly did better than my tomatoes. LOL

Several of the Darkling Beetles (Diaperis maculata) scurried off to safety. They like to hide in bark and fleshy fungi!
They were small and did not stay in the open for long.

Indeed I will be checking for a Fungus Moth (Metalectra) caterpillar too. I found one there last year so my fingers are crossed for another. My attempt to raise last year’s failed.

September is National Mushroom Month. A couple of my mushroom photos were featured…

U.S. Forest Service – National Forests and Grasslands in Texas

Saturday is National Public Lands Day. Fees will be waived on Caddo and LBJ NG on Saturday.

Keep looking!
