Hold still please

In the bright sunlight it is very hard to see what you are photographing. And it certainly would help if the subjects would hold still. LOL

The Greater Angle-wing Katydid (Microcentrum rhombifolium) was one that did not move much. Thank you!
The Cardinal Jumping Spider (Phidippus clarus) was moving some.

Ok, this is me smiling it seemed to say as it turned to face me.

A worker American Bumble Bee and a green bee were still just long enough. However there was another bumble bee that we thought was different. Furthermore it would not be until we made it almost around the pond before I was able to capture some footage of it.
Many shots were taken before I got this of the Checkered White butterfly!
The Hoary Edge butterflies were pretty flighty.

A still Ambush Bug (Phymata) waits for its prey while I get my shot.

More tomorrow from the pond area!

  1. Gotta love jumping spiders. They are the cutest of the spiders I’ve seen. That pic of it peeking out at you is great.
