Beautiful Eyes

My fun finds today!

Looking for the hidden, I stopped here. Do you see what I saw? It was the shadow on the leaf.
A small moth was plainly keeping it head down looking small.
My rescued Plains Nipple Cactus (Escobaria missouriensis) will be blooming soon!

A fun find in the Western Horse Nettle (Solanum dimidiatum) flower! The Eggplant Tortoise Beetles (Gratiana pallidula)!

Usually I find the Eggplant Tortoise Beetles (Gratiana pallidula) on the leaves like these two.

For the last few days I have been searching for cats on the Texas Vervain (Verbena hallii). No luck yet but I did see this insect.

Ten-petal Anemone (Anemone belandieri) was certainly fluffing. In fact, I have been seeing these on milkweeds and every other plant. LOL. However, it finally dawned on me today the identity of the seeds. 🙂

The little Calligrapher Fly (Toxomerus marginatus) can be found in many habitats. The larvae prey on aphids, thrips and small caterpillars. (BugGuide).

Crazy wing action!

The Fruit Fly (Campiglossa) had such beautiful eyes!
