Promising area – part 5

We had now reached another spot that appeared on the satellite map as a promising habitat candidate for Tiny Tim.

Fossils!
Veined!

Concerned but a smiling rock. LOL
The rock looked like bone at first glance!

More artifacts, a bullet casing from WWII or later.

An end shot. 😉 So I was hoping this would lead to ID, but it didn’t.
David said this was a blank bullet casing.

On the satellite imagery this part of park had looked promising for Tiny Tim.

We found Stemless Primrose (Oenothera triloba)!

A squamulose scale lichen that reminded me of Shaun the Sheep. LOL

So in this area were holes filled with rocks. We speculated explosions.

This was a hole had that had three companion holes nearby. No guesses from us on what the holes had held long ago.

No Tiny Tim yet.
