Birds!

I bet many of you in North Texas watched the birds today out your window. And with the cold, sleet, thunder, and small hail, it certainly was a good day to watch! Sixteen species were seen at my feeder this morning. Additionally, on my walks I had a Red-shouldered Hawk, crows, and Blue Jays.

Lovely juncos came!

Chickadees visited!

Titmice too!

Did someone forget to tell him, it was a bit early for starting his spring outfit?

Squabbles!

The chickadees seemed to pay no attention to the male kestrel below them. Though, he did put the fear in all the little birds when he swooped passed the feeder earlier. LOL.

This was the bird of day, a Purple Finch! It has been a couple years (February 2021) since I had seen one.

Nice day at the feeder!

  1. It was a perfect to watch birds at feeders. My yard was full but the big hit was the heated bird bath. First time ive used one and its definitely worth getting.

  2. We need to get heaters for our bird water dishes. There were some forlorn doves hanging around who come to drink every day. 😔
