Japanese watercolor

Sometimes when taking photos of stuff, I see things that will remind me of paintings. Maybe you too?

Ebony Spleenwort growing with American Beautyberry. Besides it growing with the Beautyberry, it was on the level above the ravine which was an unusual place to find it.

This was the landscape above the ravine.

Some of the beautyberries still had berries!

Twisted!

Not a very good fence mending. Plenty of room for anyone to go through.

The fence did provide a nice climbing place for Anglepod.

Beautiful from any angle!

The burnt log was speckled with lichens.

Do you see the happy log creature? LOL So perhaps this log would have been an inspiration for someone’s magical creature?

The moss covered bank reminded me of a Japanese watercolor. Maybe a similar scene stimulated the artists as well.

  1. I can definitely see a japanese watercolor from that moss. Really pretty.
Merry Xmas to everyone and a prosperous and healthy new year. Peace.

  2. Twisted trunk = very old. Anglepod seedpod innards = whoa, gorgeous. Mossy rocks and lichens on burnt log = inspiring!
