Part II of Mt. Tabor Park

This is definitely a place I would love to spend more than an hour.

What a lovely shade of yellow foliose lichen!

Everything was so beautiful!

Moss with it capsules!

Claire gets up close!

She had found a Harvestman (Opiliones)! Its legs were covered in water droplets!

Fruticose lichens, foliose lichens, and mosses!

A medium sized mushroom!

A tiny cutey was looking for a meal in the moss!

The wall appeared to be made of gold! A gold crustose lichen that is.:-)

If the lichens had not fallen to the ground, I would have had to look up the tall tall trees.

A well hidden insect casing!

The sword ferns were big!

And lots of spores will be released soon!

Snowberries (Symphoricarpos albus)!

A very big liverwort! At least I thought they were for a leafy liverwort.

Closer view!

Indeed, the Bigleaf Maple leaves were rather large!

A great time was had at Mt. Tabor Park. Indeed, I look forward to visiting again someday!

  1. Gotta wonder if folks there have lichens and mosses growing in their ears and on their backs etc. Colors are strong and beautiful. A magical place.
