Rainbow meow
Whoa, I feel we got lucky today with 1.16″ so far! On top of that, three of the four Gracie walks, I had to use the umbrella. My lucky non-umbrella walk was the afternoon walk. At that point, the clouds almost parted, but not quite.
Here was the find of the day. It was like a rainbow meow! 🙂 It is the White-streaked Prominent (Ianassa lignicolor)! So it was climbing up the Post Oak where it will spend the night for foraging. So it probably was heading for an early start since the sky was dark (maybe).

Hi Mary,
I’m enjoying all of your posts! Your photos are great. I’ve never seen that caterpillar.
Thank you for what you are doing.
Marilyn
I have seen one only once before in May 2012 and near as big.
Love the rainbow cat – maybe there will be a rainbow in the sky tomorrow
If you see one, take a photo 🙂
Never seen that cat before either. Cant wait to see what it turns into.
Just in case this one doesn’t make it, here’s a photo on BugGuide… https://bugguide.net/node/view/2095097/bgimage
