Three days of cackling
For three days, the Rain Crow (also known as the Yellow-billed Cuckoo) was cackling a forecast of rain. Well, it was right, we got rain at our house! LOL Our bucket has one inch and more is coming down at press time. Oh what a wonderful rain!

Keep looking!
The more you know, the more you see and the more you see, the more you know.
Pink shroom looks like icing dripping over the edges. Pretty. And baby is getting adult feathers. How long before it fledges?
Here’s a good link to answer all your questions about black vultures https://avianreport.com/black-vulture-nesting-eggs-chicks-incubation-fledgling-care-of-young/
Judy, I went back thru my photos and estimate its flight time should occur around June 28th.
Wish I could glide do effortlessly! And hooray for rain – May be 4”by midnight!
And your got your 4″. We only got 1.83″. Still loving it!
Love the vulture chick updates and shroom pix.
🙂
I bet you have a lot more mushrooms pop up after this rain. Have you named the vulture chick? I would not be able to resist that temptation.
I will be looking for the mushrooms for sure! No name, unless you count…baby. Ha ha! What would you name it?
Hmmm, maybe Edgar A. Poe or Morbius?
Interesting name choices. I did not know Morbius so I looked it up. Are you a Dr Who fan? or the Marvel character fan. I do know about Poe so that would be my choice between the two.
Dr. Morbius is a character in the first The Matrix movie who runs the show. I think the name is dark and interesting, like the baby vulture.
I have watched the movie once but don’t really remember it well. I like Dr Morbius now as a name since you told me the why. However Poe is shorter to type. 😂 😂😂
That story about the long lost moth is wild!
