After every trip, I am always just as excited to be home! What had changed from a week ago?

Just as important to Gracie, no leash. Plus she has lots of pee-mail to catch up on!

A Celestial (Nemastylis geminiflora) was blooming with an Buprestidae beetle!

Some of my Winecups (Callirhoe involucrata) are really small this spring.
It was a windy day and the old snag had something to say LOL.

The Black Vulture chick was being snuggled by its parent!

Green Milkweed almost ready to bloom!

Similarly, Arkansas Yucca was coming along!

My one and only Tharp’s Spiderwort was blooming!

The Rainbow Scarab was busy with two hitchhikers on its back!

Parents, please feed me! All my babies survived the week!

Full disclosure: The above photos were taken Friday when we got home. Today (April 24th), we have some wonderful and much needed rain! At this time (6:13pm) the rain bucket reads 1.34 inches! Hope everyone is getting some too!

Keep looking!

The more you know, the more you see and the more you see, the more you know.

  1. I’m very happy the vulture chick is still thriving! That scarab has a prize! And wishing all the best for the chickadee babies!

  2. Gracie looks happy. So glad all babies survived without your supervision. They dont look a week older. Mama vulture seems to be a good mom.
