I really love to look at things close up as you can probably guess by now if you have been reading the blog. Here are a couple closeups…
First closeup is the Whitlow Wort (Paronychia virginica). A favorite and delightful prairie plant.
Next up, the Two-flowered Milkvine (Matelia biflora)! In this case, there was only one flower that was blooming.
The leaves are as hairy as the flower on Two-flowered Milkvine.
Greeneyes (Berlandiera betonicifolia) seed head.
Certainly not a flower! When I took this photo, I was surprised to see the green and red on the under belly of this Leaf-footed bug (Coreidae).
Lastly a step back so you can see the whole bug!
