SNOW…Rang in the New Year!
What a surprise this morning to find a dusting of snow at our house. Especially because 33 degrees was our low. Folks in Decatur and to the west got more.

The little shelf fungus caught some snow.

Closeup of the shelf fungus. As you can see it is more like ice crystals. It was lightly raining when we got up this morning.

Our woods.

Just a topper of snow.

Snow stump.

Closeup of ice crystals.

Looks like the back of lizard!

Gracie and our “submarine”.
So as you can see we really just got a dusting so I have saved the best snow shots for the last from my friends Jeanne and Judy.

Deer at Fossil Hill. Jeanne says they got about 1 inch! A winter wonderland!

Miguel braved the cold and made this cute guy! Looks a bit like Miguel Junior with the hat on 😉
Thanks Jeanne and Judy for letting me post your photos!
Keep looking!
I am so excited we all got snow!! What a good start to the year.
The stump in the photo Just a Topper of Snow looks like an animal head. Cool!
Are you sure that wasnt really a lizard? I think it was
Suzanne, It was the start of a giraffe woodcarving I never finished LOL.
Mary, haha!
Judy, It did not move so maybe the "lizard" was frozen 😉
