Brown
Brown is adjective which is defined as a color produced by mixing red, yellow, and blue. When I googled the definition of brown, I also got these words as similar:
hazel, chocolate-colored, coffee-colored, cocoa-colored, nut brown, brunette, mousy, sepia, mahogany, umber, burnt sienna, beige, buff, tan, fawn, biscuit, camel, café au lait, caramel, mushroom, bay, sorrel, dun, brindle, brindled, auburn, tawny, coppery, chestnut, bronze, russet.
I started out on my walk wondering what I would see today.
This is what caught my eye first…the Common Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis). Then I wondered how many things could I find that had the color brown.
Brown grasses.
Seedpod of the Honey Locust (Gleditsia triacanthos).
Horsemint (Monarda citriodora).
Iron fence with bird poop.
Poop and a grasshopper.
Bluebird nest.
Barbwire.
Bois D’arc (Maclura pomifera) leaf.
Post Oak stump.

Maximillian sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani).
Mud. We had .15″ of rain last night.
Eryngo (Eryngium leavenworthii).
Driveway rock.
Another driveway rock.
Driveway mud with a smeared Gracie track.
Blackjack (Quercus marilandica) logs.
My favorite is the blackjack logs!
😂lots of brown especially this time of year. Cool. Never would have thought of looking for brown.
I got weird ideas sometimes…ha ha!
