Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

I am down in Austin for the Texas Plant Conservation Conference. Furthermore I had never been here so I am excited to see the center! The talks today were wonderful of course. Learning alot!

Oh my! This sign was on the way in. I hope I see one. 🙂
So on breaks I headed outside to stretch the legs. Different themed garden from many ecoregions.
The tower is really cool!

A pano shot from inside the tower!
The rain water flows in the middle of the tower.
We heard the dinos as we entered the garden.
The American Bumble Bees were visiting too. However I’m sure they enjoy the center every day.

It’s late and I’m pooped. Tomorrow more learning and more time to enjoy the grounds!

  1. I hope you’ll have time to walk some of the trails! They have done a lot of ecological restoration work there.
