Further…

The other day you may recall I was at the Windmill Lake. Well, after I finished looking for my sunglasses I went further.

My first friend to greet me was a jumping spider!
In the open glades I found the Dogweed (Dysodiopsis tagetoides)!
Also in the same area was the Golden Dalea (Dalea aurea)!
Perhaps you noticed the tiny green spot in the above photo. It was a hairstreak or a blue butterfly larva. So it is unreliable to know which unless you raise them.

Capturing the crab spider takes more than a few shots. So I’m twisting the flower around when I get another cat too!

Three-banded Grasshopper (Hadrotettix trifasciatus)!

Well after looking for the cats on Dalea I decided to hunt for their eggs.
And there they were!
Then I found one that had just recently hatched. How fabulous was that. 🙂
The stone cold, but slightly smiling look from a rock friend to finish the day. LOL.

Never miss a chance to explore the LBJ NG!
