Renovation Required

Indeed it is time to update you on the Black Vulture family.

Some mornings when we walk pass a parent will come out and stretch. Other mornings they don’t.

On Monday we decided it was time to renovate. The plants were obstructing the view. The plants had to go.

This is the view through the doorway on Monday. So the door would for sure cave in if we tried to open it.
So on Monday we tried to persuade the parent to move out while we cut the plants. First from the top. That wasn’t going to work. Furthermore this parent just looked at us, not moving a bit. We would have to wait for another day. Perhaps the other parent was the one that came out when we would walk passed.

On Tuesday afternoon, this parent was persuaded to come out. And with a little more coaxing they flew off to a nearby tree. The renovations could precede!

Plants were cut with a long pole saw through the opening in the precarious door.

One more plant to cut.

Ahhhh, now all was well again. The parent resumed their important job. And we now have an unobstructed view!
