Toadly

First Wednesday! And of course meant it was a totally great day!

Next to where we had parked is a large ephemeral puddle. Surprisingly the Blue Mud-plantain (Heteranthera limosa) manages to survive there. Why a surprise? Because crazy people like to drive circles in the puddle. But the next find next to the puddle was the highlight of the morning for me.

Jeanne managed to snag this little one!
Oh my they still had their tail!
Their eyes looked deep and dark. Mysterious!

Another was caught. This one was tail-less. Well they looked like they still had a nub.

Toadly a fun day!

More tomorrow on what we saw.

  1. Precious frog. And seems kids are finding lots of things these days. Or maybe I’m just noticing it. Nice day to be outside.
