Strikingly Colorful Cockroach

Another good rain for us last night. We got 2.41″.

So they must have been almost ready to switch duties because this one went to the roof. However the mate was not close that we could see.
However this presented an opportunity for us to check for eggs. And now there are two!
The Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) cat and frass on their host plant, the thistle (Cirsium).

Indeed, the Pond Sliders seemed to be on the move this morning. I saw two.

Also I am starting to see more bumbles! The queens must now have workers starting to help them. Left: unpollinated Western Horse Nettle (Solanum dimidiatum), center American Bumble Bee (Bombus pensylvanicus) on Texas Thistle, right pollinated Western Horse Nettle (Solanum dimidiatum).
