Many of the American Goldfinches have changed to their fancy clothes! On the other hand, the House Finches don’t think to change.
All was quiet at J4 nest box.

It was a fast exit. They didn’t fly far and hopefully she came back quickly. Only once has a bluebird turned back to attack me in twenty some years.
She has four little ones all wrapped in blue containers. This is an interesting nest with the bare wood showing on the bottom. Maybe she is new at this?

Bet she lays one more egg. Such a beautiful blue.
I think this all she is having. She stopped a few days ago. I have several nests with only four.
