Just a week ago we were barely out the 30’s for high. Then wow, it was 79F today!

Now look at all of the Spring Beauties (Claytonia virginica) singing! Well, if you can call blooming singing too. πŸ˜‰

Two Cardinal feathers laid near the harvester ants mount. And yes I placed these near the mound. πŸ™‚ These were the only two feathers I found so I concluded the Cardinal was just molting. And there are lots of love songs in the air. πŸ™‚

  1. it does seem as tho spring has arrived. The cedar trees are full of pollen – try thumping one of the pollen laden branches – you’ll get a huge yellow cloud in the air.
    That’s quite the bb nest – time to check for sure!
