There was a map on a sign (that I failed to take a pic of) showing locations of springs that have quit and those that were still going. It was at least half had stopped if I remember right. Claire might remember it better? Yep sad. On a bright note like you said the CCC folks did some great work!
Youve shared a wonderful and ascinating journey to oklahoma – thank you! That moss reminds me of entodon seductrix.
The article about the canoe and how they decided to record it and allow it to remain in place is great – even better that so many can now study it and learn and that all that can be preserved for the future.
The decision to allow the unfinished canoe to remain in place and return to the Earth is powerful. When I see you at the next 1st Wednesday, I hope I can remember to tell you about a similar story I encountered when we visited the Four Corners region in October.
Love that moss shot that Jim got. I remember reading once that for every human ailment there was a plant to cure it. Yeah Mistletoe!
Plants certainly been in the health business for a lot longer than humans. 🤔
The sign that says the springs have ceased flowing makes me sad. 🫤😔 Another very cool and elaborate CCC structure for sure!

There I’ve texted you both the sign that shows the map. It seems like springs sort of farther away from the big ones are the ones that dries up?
Thanks Claire!

Thanks for the ID! Really is neat about the canoe and collaboration.
