0.68″ was our rain total last night! Wonderful way to start the fall season. I know some of you got more, but no complaints here at the Pollinator Ranch. 🙂
A Loggerhead Shrike’s cache! Yum! Then I notice the tie downs. I don’t think the shrike did it. LOL.
A closer look at the web strand!
American Bird Grasshopper (Schistocerca americana) on a Toothache Tree.
The goldenrods are starting to look nice like this Field Goldenrod (Solidago nemoralis)!
The Leucodon julaceus moss measured (millimeters) up today!
On this One-seed or Croton Prairie Tea (Croton monanthogynus) there was a caterpillar. It was green. It might be hard to locate. 😉
Here was another! This should be easier, eh.
Yet another one!
So I found seven of the Goatweed Leafwing cats on two plants. That was cool!
Finally I checked the One-seed Croton for its one seed in a capsule. LOL.
Oh maybe that’s the kind of croton I got from you! I saw a leafwing lay an egg on mine.
Maybe. I don’t remember what you got. 🤷🏻♀️ check for the one seed?
Love the close up of the cat
Croton must be very tasty! Cool lookin cats.
That Motus tracking system looks pretty awesome.
Very interesting cat and good closeups.
