It was Wet!

I know I said yesterday we would get back to the Cooke County drive-about, but I changed my mind. LOL.

Today was First Wednesday and the theme was to see how the prairie had done with the drought over the summer. However today was very wet. 😉

Five real nature prairie nerds showed up for the fun! As you can see everyone was ready. 🙂
These Rain Lilies (Zephyranthes chlorosolen) had a very lucky day. Not only did they get rain, but somehow missed getting run over by me.

Stopped for the small Gumweed!

Wet weather did not stop the close up looks at the plants.

Time to call it a day in the beautiful rain soaked prairie.

Wet but a great day on the LBJ National Grasslands!

Umbrella shots seemed to be a theme in our photos today. LOL. Thanks to Jerry and Kate for sharing your shots.
