Yesterday we traveled to the north. Well, not that far to the north. However it was three degrees cooler than the 99F here at home. ๐
Before we left for the north, we took our morning walk. Wow, clouds! Then as we drove east of Greenwood we started to see a few puddles. Some lucky people had gotten a brief shower. Hope you were one of those people. ๐
Our destination…Claire’s house in Norman! Love their backyard. And as always, Claire gave the yard tour. They have lived here for five years. And their yard is filled with such array of native plants and critters!
A cool resident was the White Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata var alba)! Claire took an angle of the flower she posted on her blog which reminded me of a ballerina.
A healthy population of aphids! However here I found a loner adult. ๐
A Plume Moth (Pterophoroidea) caterpillar has such fantastic long hairs!
The Euphorbia Bug (Chariesterus antennator) was my favorite bug! Indeed the paddled tipped antenna are amazing!
It was delightful to have you visit!! And you have provided many seeds and plants for our mini prairie!
Very happy to have helped in a small way๐
That euphorbia bug may be the most interesting Iโve seen. Claire has worked hard on her yard and it shows.
I know right. They really have!
Those are really cool antenna – always something new in Claire’s garden!
Canโt wait to find one here.
A lovely field trip!
Indeed!
I love the euphorbia bug and the paddle antennae

The Euphorbia Bug appears to be dressed up in dangling earrings! Such a distinctive feature! Thanks!
Ha ha it does! ๐
