So saying we have a yard anymore, is well, a bit of stretch. We are blessed to live in the country where there are no rules for the “yard”. Thus, we only mow just enough to keep most of the tall plants (grasses and other forbs) about ten to twenty feet from the house these days. And of course mowing to the front door for delivery people. However, just like the barn that no longer exists, I still call the area near the house the yard. LOL. Here are my finds from my short time in the yard this morning.
Now everyone cross your fingers and toes for rain tonight!
Love the eyes on the jumping spider. When you see a close up like yours, you can’t help but love spiders. Gorgeous!
In the pic of the mistflower, the 2 acorns made me think Easter eggs.
I was looking at an Exuvia of a grasshopper yesterday and wow how fascinating. You can see so much detail. Eyes, antennae, spines on the legs, tiny wings. And the exuvia doesn’t try to get away so you can take a good look.
Good to know there’s so much life out there. Cute jumper

Definitely cool! And I too like it that it does hop or fly away. 😉
My mistflowers live only by bird bath too. They are from yours.
And you probably acquired and planted them here. 😉
