Listen

Do you listen with your ears? I do, but I also listen to what nature tries to tell me visually as well.

For the last few days, I have been hitting the barren areas on the grasslands. Here I am looking up the slope of hill. Lots of nice grasses, fossil filled rocks, gayfeather, and Queen’s Delight are among those pictured here.

Hedeoma drummondii speaks peppermint. Ok, that is really what it smells like if you crush a leaf. LOL.

Ambush Bug (Phymatinae) did not have much to say while it was on the gayfeather (Liatris mucronata).

Crazy looking critter from any angle!

Eastern Tailed-blue caterpillars moved silently as far as I could tell.

If you stepped on a Pineapple Cactus (Coryphantha sulcata), I believe you would listen better the next time. πŸ˜‰

So in brief, listen to what nature has to say!

Keep looking!

The more you know, the more you see and the more you see, the more you know.
