Well, darn I missed the coming out to the roof party. ;-( My set up was being very cranky. Grrrrr. I was going for the max settings and photos. But wait…
On the afternoon walk, Gracie and I see a vulture fly off the roof! I missed this shot too.
I checked for Edgar. What no Edgar! I was so sad I had missed him, but still did not know if it was Edgar I saw fly.
Checking the last corner, in case he was there. Nope 🙁
Getting ready to climb the ladder to fetch the camera and there was a Black Vulture. Was it Edgar?
It was! I could see his fuzz!
A lot of preening needed!
Not so sure about this roosting spot.
Gracie and I started walking away. Edgar flew back to roof!
I took a chance and climbed back on the ladder. Edgar says he knew me. LOL.
Pretty awesome!
I zoomed in. We were about five or six feet apart. They grow up so fast!
So after supper, we heading back to get the ladder. A kettle of vultures soared overhead. Was Edgar with them? I checked the Black Vultures in the crowd. However, all seemed to be molting feathers. Maybe I just had missed him?
Nope, Edgar decided to spend another night in his sweet abode. So Jim helped me with the camera. We will try again. Thanks JIm!
