However, it was also the end of our visit with Claire. A wonderful staycation for sure and we did not even have to go far. 🙂 North Texas really is wonderful!
Keep looking!

Ooops, I should’ve mentioned why it was a long day. We drove Claire, Briar and her newly acquired plants back to Norman. ☺️
Sounds like a very successful staycation. Claire hit yhe jackpot with plants. Yucca flowers are truly beautiful. Im curious about those marks in the earth too. Hope someone knows.
Those marks in the earth look like they might be the drag marks wild turkeys make with their wingtips when they are doing their courting displays. As they fan out their tails, they drag their wings and ruffle their feathers.
I will look closer this morning to see if I can spot any turkey foot prints. It is pretty sandy there so might not be able to see any. Will let you know. 🙂
I checked yesterday morning and could not find any turkey foot prints, but then again it is very loose sandy soil. I did find mammal tracks and another shorter similar looking scraping tracks that was new. It would be cool to have turkeys!
