What a wonderful day it was.
On this outing, Jeanne collected eight or nine specimens of moss. This one was very tiny and had very curly leaves!
While Jeanne was examining the moss, the tree seemed ready to give her a hug!
A common moss in our area is Leucodon julaceus!
Another moss found was the Venturiella sinensis on a Bois d-arc (Maclura pomifera)!
As Jeanne bent down to look at the moss, this beauty was among the moss!
Puff puff! We just can not resist.. be free!
It was time for break.

Puff puff what fun. And the wolf kill makes me nauseous. So so sad.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a spiky puffball! Or at least I didn’t recognize it as one.
