November!
November 2020! Hang on! Had my first of season Fox Sparrow and Yellow-rumped Warbler today. Also saw a Lincoln’s Sparrow and Dark-eyed Juncos. No photos ;-( The phone really is not much good on bird photos except to perhaps get an ID or proof.

Cottonwood trees are showing their fall colors.

Fiery Skipper

Parasitic Flies (Tachinidae)

Syrphid Fly (Syrphidae) – Eristalis dimidiata

Syrphid Fly (Syrphidae) – Eristalis dimidiata and a Spotted Cucumber beetle (Diabrotica undecimpunctata) Did you find the beetle? I didn’t notice it until I loaded the photos to the computer.

Phaon Crescent

Pearl Crescent

Bumble bee. All the insects above were on Asters ( Symphyotricdum species).

White-winged dove feather. I had hoped for a Loggerhead Shrike when I spotted it, but I just couldn’t make in to one.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) still blooms!

Texas Vervain (Verbena halei) hangs on as well.
Keep looking!
Looking nice!
I was photographing a lot of the same yesterday too. Including the cucumber beetles. I could see various bees or flies from my window and when I got closer saw 2 or 3 cucumber beetles. I'm a few days behind on your blog. But your ID gives me something to compare when I get my photos up and enlarged. Thanks!
