Rescued!

Still unbelievable how cool the weather is, eh! Forecast says not for longer.

Spined Micrathena (Micrathena gracilis) web glowed in the morning light. Later when we walk by it was no longer visible.

Bowl and Doily Weaver or Cup N Saucer Spider (Frontinella pyramitela) if you prefer. There are only 2 species in the US. And the other species, Frontinella huachuca is only known in Arizona.

Not yet peeling, Peeling Puffball (Lycoperdon marginatum)!
Narrow-leaf Morning-glory (Ipomoea shumardiana) still blooms!
Near the edge of a pond, an underground passage bulged slightly on the surface.

Carefully I cut out a small section to reveal the tunnel under the sand. The tunnel was about 1.5 cm in diameter. Now if I only knew what it was. Any ideas?

Common Whitetail (Plathemis lydia) was stuck. Was it a spider?

They got snagged on a blade of grass. So we unhooked them from the grass and away they flew!

One rescued to live another day!
