Well, the rain this morning was unexpected, at least for me. And we got 1.47″!
Completely opened this morning! Same one as featured in yesterday’s post. The rain had not started yet.
Lucky shot with the fly! 🙂
Same mushroom as above after the heavy rain this morning at 12:39pm!
The rain sure changed its look! So it looked to me like part of the yellow cap had washed off, leaving the structures of the gills.
A mini waterfall!
Meadow Pink (Sabatia campestris) in the water!
Pokeberry (Phytolacca americana) with tiny brown things.
The brown things were Keeled Treehoppers (Entylia carinata)! Indeed it was cool how the water droplets were clinging to them.
Even when one stood up, the water tension held the water on their legs.
Catch a bubble if you can! Additionally you can see me in the reflection. And it was still lightly raining thus the umbrella.
A raindrop about to contact the water!
Hold your breath! Actually I put the big one on land…saved! However I didn’t notice the other until I looked at the photo at the house. Hopefully they found their way too.
Your rain drop pics are amazing. Especially the one about to hit the water. And the bubbles.
Thank you!
Water is pretty darn special the way it clings and moves. Great pics!
Ohh I’ve never seen keeled tree hoppers on pokeberry! I’ll have to check! I’ve found them on giant ragweed and common annual sunflowers usually.
