Not Happy

The storms seemed to peter out last night. We ended up with 0.21″ and a 33mph for a wind gust.

A pleasant morning in the blackberry patch!
A seven incher!
This friend towered over the little brown ones!
After I came back to the house, Jim found this friend, the Hill-Prairie Spittlebug (Lepyronia gibbosa) that had hitched a ride on my back.

Our wildflowers are looking pretty darn nice!
The Geometer caterpillar (Eupithecia miserulata) was not very well hidden.
These little nestlings are the only ones we have occupying a box at the moment. They will be fledging very soon. However the parents were not happy with me.

Furthermore they came for me with a coordinated attack! Indeed they successfully drove intruder (me) away. And there was peace again for the family. 🙂
