Yesterday was pretty dreary.
Yet it was just so beautiful!
The non-native Pin Clover (Erodium cicutarium) was my first find yesterday.
A few of the Spring Beauties (Claytonia virginica) were open. And that was surprising.
So I was squatted looking at the Spring Beauty when a curious youngest came up for a look too.
However before they were upon me, I stood up. So they said nope only to pause one more moment. 🙂
Prickly Pear Cactus and golf ball. For some reason the neighbors believe the grasslands are their private range.
A native the Draba (Tomostima cuneifolia)! Little but cool!
Yesterday the grotto was barely flowing, just dripping. I bet today it will be going more. We got 0.44″ at our house early this morning. Yippeee!
More exciting bloomings tomorrow. 🙂
Today I saw my first of season (FOS) Prairie Johnny Jump-up (Viola bicolor)!
Did any of you see the dust clouds that rolled through today? About 2pm it was heading east of us.

Cows are very nosy. Glad the dust didn’t last long.
So much dust today down near Lampasas – the blue sky was muddled. And that wind! Still going here.
After one burn on The Flower Mound, I collected over 80 very crispy golf balls.
