Green Cap

Goodness was it cold today. Temps here never made it out of the upper 30’s here.

Scat on a log!
And they had eaten a green beetle!
A really big piece of petrified wood chunk!
A Cardinal’s feather!
Not sure who made this pile of dirt.
First I scraped the dirt back and still no hole was found. Additionally the dirt below was much darker. Maybe the soil on top was drier. Then we put the plug of dirt and moss back in place after not finding anyone visible to our eyes.
Thalloid liverwort turning purple. It may be dying, but we weren’t sure. πŸ™‚
Looked like a green cap, acorn eyes and tongue sticking out! LOL.
