Stomach Rules

Yesterday I said our stomachs ruled. However I saw a sign on the other side of the parking lot.

So exactly what did it refer to?
So I just had to see. And I called Claire over to join me.
Well this was a cool way to cross to the other side of road! (Insert chicken crossing road joke here. LOL.)

And the underpass echoes!

The underpass led to the Pavilion Springs which is housed under a structure that once had a dance hall on top. The dance hall is gone. People came to drink the spring water to ease arthritic, stomach problems and anxiety. Now it is known that it is not advisable to drink from any of the springs.

Oozing out of the side of the bridge was a strange white stringy stuff.
One more stop at nearby Hillside Springs!

Here also was a bunch of the white stringy stuff. The stringy white stuff looked more like an algae here. And this spring has arsenic! People came to rub it on to their lighten their skin. The stringy white stuff looked more like an algae here. So I wondered if the arsenic was the reason for the white algae. Later I asked a park ranger. She told me it was not due to arsenic but more likely one or a combo of the other minerals. Furthermore she said that it was at other springs that did not have arsenic. Some call it old man’s beard.

Sometimes my stomach does not rule. Ok, really it was time to get some lunch now! LOL.
