Happy Indigenous Day!

So what did you do today on Indigenous Peoples’ Day? Go shopping (it is Black Friday) or take a walk? You know what I did. 🙂 Additionally at our house we gathered with friends and family.

Now to continue on with the outing on Tuesday the 26th.

A dead Ladies Tresses orchid (Spiranthes) really blended in.

The moss capsules were catching our eye too!
Oh my a big puffball!

More moss capsules but these had the teeth showing. Was that their way of smiling?

A group of small brown mushrooms caught my eye. I called Jeanne over to see them.

However she had thought I was referring to the tree knob that looked like a mushroom. LOL.

There were many American Beautyberries (Callicarpa americana) that were still loaded with berries. This one fell onto the log with the mushrooms.
