Here are the last ones I looked at from the ephemeral creek.

A pretzel nematode!

Mesmerizing! At least to me. LOL.

Speedy water mite! Yes, there are water mites. They eat similar things as their terrestrial cousins.

Top view! Nymphs have only six legs. Adults have eight legs. The most I could count on this little one was seven. I supposed it had a narrow escape?
