It had been awhile since I had been in the ravine. I hoped that the path I normally took was not completely overgrown. The Rough-leaf Dogwood was fairly thick along the edge.
Multiple places had active seeps running. The ripples in the sandstone were just beautiful!
So these clouds wrapped up our day. And actually we never really got more than a couple of sprinkles on the way home.
Indeed we were both glad we took a chance on the weather. Furthermore it may be awhile before we get that cool temps again. 🙂
The more you know, the more you see and the more you see, the more you know

Those were definitely wonderful clouds – you looked up at just the right moment – a few seconds later and we would have missed the effect. Of course the ferns were pretty doggone spectacular too!

Best ever, the ferns!
I think the whole ravine was spectacular. Beautiful prairie clover!
Always love a good ravine!
Beautiful day!! What a dramatic cloud too!!
Very!
I love that ravine! The ripples in the limestone are gorgeous.
Oops, I meant sandstone…
🙂
Great video of the seep. Plus, you got two of my faves together – basket flower and swallowtail.
Thanks 🙂
