It was good to see some sunshine today! Though it was a slow start here at our house. It was noon before the clouds gave way to the sun.
The sidewalk was even damp this morning!
The Kern’s Flower Scarab (Euphoria kernii) is one of my favs. Maybe because for some reason I remember their name. 🙂
Two small spiders were cozy on the thistle!
Many of the thistle have piles of frass left from the Painted Ladies.
One active Painted Lady cat had business to tend.
A honey bee was of course too busy for me.
Then I moved on to the Western Horse Nettle (Solanum dimidiatum) where a Green Sweat bee (Augochlora pura) was doing its thing!
On another flower was the Eggplant Tortoise Beetle (Gratiana pallidula) and tiny fly!
All the fauna and flora were stand outs today. However one white Meadow Pink (Sabatia campestris) was truly a stand out! Isn’t it wonderful!

I think the green bees use my bee house. Never heard of the tortoise beetle.

I’m fond of the Kern’s flower scarab too. It’s one of the few beetles I’m able to name LOL.
I’m not alone in my poor memory…LOL.
