The end

We were still going about 2pm. By this time we were back along the front of the unit.

Many of the Wild Plums (Prunus) were blooming and were fragrant.

A tiny moth!

Another style of egg case! Correction: Claire pointed out this is a thistle head. She is right. I guess I was stuck on bagworms at the time. LOL. I actually remember think it was weird for an egg case. Thanks Claire!

A second pond on this unit! However it had duckweed on one end of the pond.

Alan found this cool Basilica Orbweaver (Mecynogea lemniscata) egg case!

A vine was embedded in this tree!

It was one with the tree!

It was crazy and cool!

Beautiful gray and whitish shelf fungus!

Spring mushrooms!

The gills were a pretty pink blush!

We split one open.

Huge honey locust thorns..yikes!!!

The last pond of the day!

The last look at a crustose lichen!

Then the UV test! Positive yellow!

Ramalina americana! My very last photo on this outing on this unit.

Keep looking!

The more you know, the more you see and the more you see, the more you know.
